Friday 29th February 2008

After one season in Division One of MCDL Weakest Link have followed in many other promoted teams footsteps by being relegated in their first season. A 10-2 defeat at the hands of Dream Team was the straw that that broke the Weakest Link in Division One. Muttleys Mob only need a draw against USC Raiders to regain the League One title, if Muttleys secure the title next week, Hot Sods only need 5 points from their remaining two games to book their place back in Division One next year and send Raiders tumbling back to Division Two after their first season in League One. Zulus played some great darts on Friday with Andy Findley hitting two 180’s to once again make him favourite for the most 180’s title Paul Newstead also hit a 180 in Zulus 6-6 draw against Sandmen. The game also saw Paul hit a 9 dart 301 leg and in the pairs game Andy and wife Juliet Findley hit a 12 dart 501 leg. In Division Two Legionaries stay 2 points in front after an 11-1 win over Outlaws Bar Boys couldn’t claw any legs back as they also won 11-1 over Snooker Roadies. Ladybirds were held 6-6 at home against Cunning Stunts B

Zulus closed the gap to four points but have played a game more. At the Bottom of the league USC Raiders won their second game of the season beating Weakest link in a bottom of the table clash. Weakest Link are still looking for their first win of the season but stay above Raiders having won more legs. In Division Two it’s tight at the top with only two points separating Legionaires and Bar Boys. Legionaires had a good 7-5 win in the top of the table fight. Shot of the night went to Bar Boys Alan Hayes who had a magnificent 167 Out and looks certain to pick up the highest out with only three games left.

Friday 8th February 2008

With 8 180’s thrown 3 of them in Division Two John Gelder is now level with Andy Findley for the Division One, 180’s title. Friday 1st February 2008

The race is on for the most 180’s title this year. Eight 180’s were hit in the MCDL this week with Andy Findley still out in front having hit 7 this year so far. However there are 3 people chasing on 6 a piece. In Division Two it’s the highest Checkout that counts and Alan Hayes is in front having hit a 150 Out on Friday. In Division One, Muttleys Mob surge ahead at the top of Division One with a good 11-1 win over Weakest Link, they are now 17 points in front of Zulus with just 4 games left to play! Meanwhile at the bottom Raiders also lost 11 -1 against Hot Sods. While Raiders were level with their opponents at 28 ton plusses a piece, it’s the doubles that count and Hot Sods were not missing any! In Division Two its looking like a two horse race for the title with both leaders Legionaries and 2nd placed Bar Boys, both winning 10-2 against Cunning Stunts A and Young Ones respectively.

Friday 25th January 2008

Only two teams remain unbeaten in the leagues now and they are both at the top of their respective divisions Muttleys Mob in Division One and Legionaires in Division Two. And there are also two teams still looking for their first win, Weakest Link in Division One and Snooker Roadies in Division Two! While Muttleys Mob are 13 points ahead, Legionaires are 11 points in front but chasing team Bar Boys have a game in hand. The real battle over the next six weeks is going to be to stave off relegation in Division One. With only six points separating 4 teams at the bottom relegation could loom for any team in the bottom half of the league and even USC Raiders, who are 7 points adrift, are starting to get some good results, and could stay up!

Friday 18th January 2008
